St. Mary's in the Mountains, located at 13 East Main Street in Wilmington, Vermont, is an Episcopal community which welcomes all to our communion.  Whether you're a long-time resident of Deerfield Valley, a weekend or summer resident, or someone just visiting the area; whether you're a long-time communicant within the Episcopal faith, someone exploring different faith options, or just looking for a warm and peaceful place to rest, we invite you to join us for our service every Sunday at 10 a.m., and in our many other activities.  

 

Regardless of who you may be, or where you may be on your path, you are most welcome at St. Mary's.

  • We are offering Holy Week Services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter, all in accordance with the guidance and directives of our Bishop and the Governor.  Check our Holy Week 2020 page in the Menu above for details.

  • Resources for our Holy Week Services are here.  Please open, and print or view, to participate in our services. 

  • EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE NOTED, PUBLIC SERVICES WITHIN ST. MARY'S IN THE MOUNTAINS REMAIN CANCELLED AT THIS TIME,  in accordance with the request of the Bishop of Vermont.   We will have further updates as we gather more information.

  • For those who wish to remotely support St. Mary's while we are not meeting, by donation, pledge payment, or other contributions, the Diocese has set up an on-line payment portal.  Click here and select Wilmington (St. Mary's in the Mountains) from the drop-down menu to donate to our church.  (Old fashioned checks to our address below are OK too!)

  • We have established a Covid-19 page on our website.  Click on the Menu above to go there.

  • During this time, the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont is offering daily on line prayer.  More information can be found by clicking here

  • The Vermont Diocese is offering a Palm Sunday Service as well as Holy Week services.  The information to join is at the Diocese webpage, and is located here.  

  • Our Lenten series, Sense and Sensibility, A Lenten Exploration, is being cancelled.  Please continue to pray, meditate and consider the meaning of Lent in your lives.  Blessings. 

  • Thank you to Bishop Shannon MacVean-Brown for joining us and leading our service this past Sunday.  

  • The Red Door Concert scheduled for April 17 is postponed.  We will provide a rescheduled date as soon as we can, so check back for a new date.  

  • Each week, we will post a short video summarizing the message from our worship leader for that Sunday's service.  For this Sunday's click here.  Check back each week on this page.  Past videos will be in the Past Sunday Messages page, under the Ministries & Outreach page.

  • We are excited to announce that we are hosting an Episcopalian Evangelism Conference this fall, from Sept. 25-27.  Check back for more details.  

  • We have placed our Annual Report and budget on the password protected Parishioners' Page.  If you need the password, and are a member of our church, please contact Joe Fortner (fortner1@comcast.net) to arrange a way to get the information.  

  • We have set up a Parishioners' Page on the website, which will have information about our Vestry, Worship Team, and the life of our Parish.  If you are a member of our Parish and would like to be able to access minutes and other info. on line, please email our webmaster (fortner1@comcast.net) or see a Vestry member to learn how to access.  

  • Every first Monday of the month from 10:45 to noon, volunteers from Taking Steps Brattleboro are here to offer free Advance Care Planning.  More information can be found here.
